WILDMONKEYTATTOO is a private studio based in Gouda, the Netherlands. A city located between major cities such as Amsterdam, Den Haag, Rotterdam, and Utrecht.
Our studio is known for Japanese style tattoo, created in a calm and focused environment. In addition to our resident artists, we also regularly invite guest tattoo artists from various styles and backgrounds.

We share updates about guest artists and upcoming projects through our website, so please keep your eyes on our latest news if you are interested.
Our studio works by appointment only, and we do not accept walk-ins.

Katsu was born and raised in Hiroshima, Japan.

He founded WILDMONKEYTATTOO in Hiroshima, Japan, in 1995. After more than two decades of tattooing in his hometown, he moved to the Netherlands in 2018, working in Utrecht before settling in Gouda in 2020.

He is best known for his traditional Japanese work and large-scale custom projects. He enjoys creating designs that complement the natural shape and movement of the body.

His work is characterized by rich colors, depth, and a strong visual presence, resulting in tattoos that remain bold and timeless.

Aki was born and raised in Hiroshima, Japan.

As co-owner of WILDMONKEYTATTOO , she has been involved in the studio since 2007 and works closely with clients throughout their tattoo journey.

With years of experience in client consultation and project coordination, she helps ensure that every client feels comfortable and well informed from the first inquiry to the final session. In addition to managing the studio, Aki is responsible for documenting Katsu’s work through photography and creating videos. Click here for the gallery.
